Layer Marney Tower Classic Show
2006

Eleven members and their motorcycles attended the Layer Marney Classic Show at short notice (well done to all that made it). The event although being quite small, was well attended with various classic vehicles, from a 1912 Renault owned by a grumpy old bugger to a 1960's chip pan fat burning American Frightliner Truck (but a very nice man despite being woken by John banging on his bumpers). The attempted theft of  the Routemaster bus (owned by the resident of Layer Marney Tower) was only thwarted when Liz couldn't get it by the chip fat burner! And Curly was jumping for joy after finding a Messerschmitt 3 wheeler - his dream car apparently?

The amazing old building is a little English treasure, shame it was never finished but worth a visit even so, with the view from the top of the tower not to be missed. The weather played on our side too with even a little sunshine to jolly us up, all in all a pleasant little day out just needed a bit more going on to keep us there a bit longer.
